LOS ANGELES, Oct 2, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- U.S. actress Eva Longoria avoided comment on her reported split with NBA star Tony Parker at the launch of Los Angeles salon.

TMZ.com reported that while the "Desperate Housewives" star attended the grand opening of hair-stylist Ken Paves' salon Friday, she informed the event's representative that she had no comment for the press regarding her recent break-up with the San Antonio Spurs point guard.

While the couple has not publicly announced the split and Longoria's publicist would only say that the couple was "going through a very difficult time," Parker seemed oblivious to any problems in a recent comment he made to the San Antonio Express News, said the Web site.

"Everything's fine," the basketball star said. "A couple stuff happened, but that's nothing. Everything is fine."
