(KSL News) -- Some startling data today from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The group says one out of four vehicle owners fail to have recall work performed.
There were 436 recalls issued last year affecting some 18.3 million cars, trucks and SUV's. Of those, roughly 5-million have not undergone repair work and remain on the road.
While most recalls are issued for safety related defects, some cover things like vehicle paint and air conditioning problems.
