CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- Ben Woodside scored 24 points, including 19 in the second half, to lead North Dakota State to a 76-53 Summit League win over Southern Utah on Thursday night.

Brett Winkelman scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds for the Bison (11-5, 6-1 Summit), who have won five of their last six. Mike Nelson also scored 17 points.

John Clifford led Southern Utah (5-12, 3-3) with 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Davis Baker scored 11.

North Dakota State shot 56 percent from the field while holding the Thunderbirds to 32 percent. The Bison won the rebound battle 38-29.

Woodside hit a foul-line jumper and a 3-pointer during a 12-0 spurt in the second half, giving North Dakota State a 65-44 lead with 6:40 remaining.

Southern Utah went 5:16 without scoring before Baker sank a 3-pointer with 5:54 left.
