(Washington-AP) -- A Canadian company is recalling 47-thousand children's wooden swings because they can break off their chains.
It has 31 reports of the problem that's blamed for causing five cases of youngsters sustaining a sore back, cut lip or bumps and bruises.
The company name -- Backyard Products -- is on a yellow bracket on the gym sets.
The recall also includes swings sold separately from the sets, which were priced at as much as 12-hundred dollars.
The swings were sold at department, toy and discount stores nationwide between December of 2003 and April, 2004.
Consumers can contact Backyard Products for a free, in-home repair kit. The company can be reached toll-free at 1-800-841-4351, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EDT.
