The new Miss World, blonde Czech 18-year-old Tatana Kucharova, currently has no boyfriend and adores Paris, she said Sunday.

"I don't have a boyfriend and I haven't yet the ideal man in my life. In any case I don't think such a man exists," Kucharova told journalists in Warsaw the day after her victory in the famous global beauty contest.

Kucharova, who has grey-green eyes and measures 1.77 metres (5 feet 10 inches) is currently studying English and Spanish in Prague. She is also passionate about history and travelling.

"She loves Paris, especially the sites concerned with Louis XIV. She spent two weeks in that city this summer visiting museums and art galleries," her father Lubos Kuchar told AFP.

"Last year she went to Japan for two months. She loves travelling. But she always returns happily to Opocno," he added emotionally, referring to the Kuchar's small home town, north of Prague, noted for its Renaissance castle.

"She always smiles and has a good heart. I'm very proud of her," said Kucharova's mother, who shares her daughter's first name.

Kucharova, who is also Miss Czech Republic, has a history of winning beauty contests. She won the Czech Republic's Miss Children competition when she was 10.

The new Miss World loves dancing and sport. She plays tennis, volleyball and enjoys horse-riding and ice-skating, a favourite sport in her home country.

She also loves animals and has a cat, guinea pigs and a tortoise.

Kucharova was awarded the Miss World crown in Warsaw on Saturday by last year's winner Iceland's Unnur Birna Vilhjalmsdottir.

She beat 104 other contestants to win the coveted title.

Like all newly elected Miss World's she will spend the coming year travelling the globe in favour of different humanitarian causes championed by the Miss World organisation.
