A one-hour cat nap during the day may be as beneficial as a whole night in bed, new research reveals.
Scientists at Harvard University compared the learning and memory skills of two groups of people during a single day, and again the next morning, according to the BBC.
One group was told not to sleep at all during the day, and, as expected, their performance eventually tailed off.
The others were allowed to have an hour or 90-minute nap at 2 p.m., and they fared better later.
But the quality of the nap makes a difference, the researchers found.
