THE SHOW ME STATE — What's your least favorite type of precipitation? If a rainstorm recently ruined a picnic or wedding reception you'd planned, that would probably be the first response that comes to mind. But is rain really that bad? It nourishes plants, cleans our air and replenishes our lakes and rivers.

So let's consider some of the other options for least favorite:

  • Freezing rain
  • Freezing drizzle
  • Snow
  • Sleet
  • Graupel
  • Hail

From this list, I'm going to go with hail. And after watching this video, my guess is that the people who experienced this storm would give the same answer:

Most of us have seen videos of intense hailstorms. Some of us have even personally experienced them. But have any of you seen a storm quite like this? Those hailstones look like grenades launched from the clouds. I can't even imagine how scary it must've been to be caught in the onslaught.

I only have one question after watching this video. How on earth were some of those cars still driving around? With cracked windshields and other damage, it just seems like everybody should've hunkered down until the storm passed.
