Great business owners understand the power behind a customer's testimonial. While an exceptional experience can turn neighbors, friends and corporate partners into potential buyers, a negative one can shatter a reputation.

It's for this reason in today's digital age, almost every company considers its Google Review score a factor in its success. Investments are made to create welcoming environments, hire quality employees and shorten wait times — all to encourage a return and a referral. While getting an individual to leave a great review is a tough task, it can be especially difficult for an operation that's helping someone through a bad day.

Throughout their history, Young Collision Center has had to overcome that challenge, which is why one of their 2025 accomplishments was celebrated across the Young Automotive Group — their reception of a BusinessRate Top 10 award.

"What accolades like these speak to is our commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience," said Chris Hudson, director of Young Collision Center. "The moments after a crash are a scary time, and we strive to ensure that our customers can trust us with their car while they handle other needs. We've shown people that we can work with their providers and bring their vehicle to a safe state, and we're grateful they've shared their stories."

Placing in the "Auto Body Shop" category on BusinessRate's Ogden list, Young Collision Center's Weber County location was recognized with the distinction for scoring a 4.6 rating average across 101 reviews. Many of the commenters spoke to the team's ability to deliver fast service and quality work, setting a standard for future repairs to follow.

According to Hudson, behind every positive review is a moment or decision that sparked success. An operation with an I-Car Gold Status, the company is known for investing in modern machinery as well as employing the industry's best technicians. Additionally, the team works to create unique offers that make their operation stand out — especially to Young Automotive Group customers.

"A car is a significant investment, and when purchasing, it's normal for a buyer to think about what could happen in the instance of a collision," said Hudson. "Our vehicle service contracts were designed to provide peace of mind to customers, and give them a path forward if they're ever involved in an accident."

Available as a finance package, drivers who sign a vehicle service contract are promised a front spot on an appointment list the moment their machine arrives on the lot. Apart from that, the agreement allows buyers to have half of their deductible credited up to $1,000, moving work forward as soon as possible.

In addition to receiving honors from BusinessRate, Young Collision Center's operation drew attention from other organizations as well in 2025. After partnering with them to donate a spot welder to Ogden High School, high-end equipment manufacturer Car-O-Liner spotlighted the company during a video series — hosting interviews with Hudson, technician Barry Franz and Young Automotive Group innovations director Oliver Young.

"We've been incredibly fortunate to work with partners who understand our operation and trajectory," said Hudson. "Like their parent company, Snap On, Car-O-Liner creates quality products that our team can depend on. With every repair, we strive to ensure that a vehicle is ready not just to drive, but to go through another crash and still keep passengers safe. It's by using the best technology available that we achieve this."

A division within the Young Automotive Group, Young Collision has expanded from a body shop on Main Street in Layton to four locations within the span of a decade. In addition to restoring vehicles after a collision, the business offers paint repair and wheel reconditioning services.

Young Collision Center is also known as one of Young Automotive's most impactful philanthropic presences. In addition to their spot-welder donation, the organization has provided Ogden High with paint repair equipment as well as supplies and training. Many franchises host local car & bike shows as well — delivering proceeds to educational programs.

"What drives us to be a community advocate is part of what's helped us receive quality reviews," said Hudson. "We come to work because we're passionate about helping people and utilizing our skills to support others. I grew up wanting to work on cars, and I'm thankful I get to do that for a company that serves as a beacon in the areas they do business."
