HURRICANE — Senior night couldn't have ended any better for Hurricane.

After a shaky first half, the Tigers came alive in the final two quarters to take down Snow Canyon 38-24 on Friday night.

The game opened with Hurricane getting on the scoreboard first as senior receiver Brody Jacobs hauled in a touchdown catch and extra point for a 7-0 lead late in the first. Snow Canyon answered early in the second, tying it 7-7 behind a touchdown from Issaiah Thompson.

The back-and-forth battle continued with Hurricane's Austyn McRoberts powering into the end zone to make it 14-7, before Snow Canyon grabbed momentum with back-to-back touchdowns from Parker Olson and Issaiah Thompson. A field goal in the closing seconds of the half stretched the Warriors' lead to 24-14 at the half.

Hurricane's defense sparked the comeback with a safety early in the third, trimming the deficit to 24-16. Then came the turning point a rushing touchdown from Brody Jacobs followed by a two-point conversion, that tied the game at 24 heading into the fourth.

From there, the Tigers never looked back. CJ Trump broke loose for a catch-and-run touchdown to give Hurricane the lead, and Austyn McRoberts sealed it with a late rushing score to send the home crowd into celebration mode.

"First half sucky, second half good," Tigers head coach Jerry Cowan said, keeping it simple. "Proud of the comeback. ... I told the guys before kickoff to play for the seniors. Glad they pulled out a win."

With the win, Hurricane closes out senior night on a high note.
