While beginning to pursue a passion may be simple, it's often just a matter of time before obstacles relating to cost emerge. The act of looking at an item, checking the price and leaving empty-handed is a ritual all too familiar for many, especially within the motorsport community.
An interest that necessitates purchases of a machine, protective gear and accessories, a powersports rider's ambition is often met with a need to properly budget expenses. This imposition can pose challenges, which is what makes one annual Utah event so heavily anticipated.
On Saturday, that tradition returns to Young Powersports XL Centerville as they host their Warehouse Sale.
"Our operation is one that strives to provide our customers with value," said Nate Gailey, general manager of Young Powersports XL Centerville. "We hope that with this sale, we can help people find uses for products that may no longer belong in our inventory, as well as help people get quality items at an incredible price."

Held in the parking lot of the Young Honda Powerhouse dealership from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Oct. 4, the sale will feature items from across Young Powersports' network of dealerships. The pool of items available will include parts, accessories and apparel from over 1,000 brands and manufacturers, with prices starting at just $5.
Looking to attend? Here's what you can expect to find:
Gear and apparel
As new items arrive on shelves, older inventory is removed to make space. While this process rings in a new season, it also means that quality products from brands like Troy Lee Designs, Thor, Fox Racing and Fly become harder to find. Those at the Warehouse Sale, however, will be able to purchase these items at an exclusive rate.
"Proper protection is a must during any ride," said Gailey. "One of the things we love about this sale is that it helps people ensure that they have the best resources for whatever they are attempting, and it removes barriers of entry for new riders."
Helmets and padding of various sizes will be laid across the parking lot, as well as jerseys and riding pants. Basic apparel will be available as well.
Parts and accessories
Finding a classic machine through an online listing is far from a difficult task. The opposite, though, can be said about finding parts. Essential items for machines over 17 years old often become obsolete, permanently stopping some from riding again.
While the search may still be difficult, the Warehouse Sale provides many with a sliver of hope to find what they're in need of. During the event, items from manufacturers such as Polaris, Indian, Victory, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, CFMOTO, Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo and Royal Enfield may be available. In addition to essential items, accessories will be strewn across the courtyard — providing some with an opportunity to upgrade their vintage machine.

What else?
Since 2023, the Warehouse Sale has drawn in crowds from across the state. That said, Young Powersports XL Centerville is amplifying the tradition this year by hosting a Night of Nonsense from 5-9 p.m.
Staged in Young Powersports' courtyard adjacent to the sale area, the event will feature:
- Food trucks.
- A live band.
- A mechanical bull.
- A dunk tank.
- A photo booth.
- An airbrush tattoo artist.
- Face painters.
- Karaoke.
- Games.
"What we love about this transition from the sale to the Night of Nonsense is that we get to engage with the community first as professionals and then on a personal level," Gailey said. "We're incredibly passionate about this area, and the opportunities we have to bring people together. This isn't going to be something that people will want to miss."
