High school football — the game, the social gatherings, the Friday night lights — all return this week. There's no more summer conditioning under the blazing sun; it's time for the community to come together and celebrate the local teams on the football field.
Here at KSL.com, we will continue to cover many of the games around the state and provide you, the reader, with a closer look at some of the best athletes and teams from around the state in their pursuit for a state title.
This year, we're again partnering with Cafe Rio to highlight one football player of the week. Each week, we'll scour the state to find football players that excel on the field — and off the field, too — and highlight their accomplishments for all to see.
