SALT LAKE CITY β€” Good things come in pairs.

At least that's the hope for Utah football after the program got the commitment from twins Jaron and Kennan Pula (Lone Peak High) on Thursday afternoon.

The Pula twins, who both rank highly in the state, according to 247Sports, had long been committed to UCLA since September 2024 but recently backed off from their commitment at the end of June after taking an official visit to Utah on June 20.

The Utes coaching staff was able to convince the twins that Salt Lake City should be home for the next few years, giving Utah two dynamic playmakers who could have an immediate impact their freshmen season.

Jaron Pula is a four-star wide receiver who is ranked the No. 5 recruit in the state of Utah, according to 247Sports. His brother, Kennan Pula, is currently rated a three-star recruit and No. 8 in the state as a potential two-way player as a wide receiver and safety.

With their commitment, Utah currently has 16 players committed from the 2026 class and is ranked 44th in the country, according to 247Sports, with an average recruit rating of 86.83.

"(Jaron) Pula is one of the nation's premier pass catchers with a very high ceiling," 247Sports' Greg Biggins said. "He has rare traits for a receiver in terms of his size, athleticism, hands and long speed."

Biggins added that Pula "flashed big play ability" and is "among the nation's most coveted offensive prospects." He said Pula also has potential to be an early starter who has an "NFL ceiling."

Last season, Pula finished with 1,200 receiving yards and eight touchdowns for a Timpview team that made it to the semifinals before falling to 5A runner-up Roy 29-19.

Kennan Pula wasn't too far behind his brother and is considered more of a two-way prospect at the college level.

"(Kennan) Pula is a versatile athlete who could end up on either side of the ball in college," Biggins said. "Prior to this year, we liked him primarily at receiver but after seeing the early junior tape, he might be an even better safety prospect.

"He's a smooth strider who shows range in the secondary and covers a lot ground," he added. "At receiver, he's a natural pass catcher and knows how to use his big frame to create separation. He has a very high ceiling and if he continues to put the work in off the field, there is no doubt he has an NFL upside to him."

He finished last season with 336 receiving yards and one touchdown, while adding four interceptions, six pass breakups, and 50 tackles his junior season.

Though the Pula twins have been at Timpview, they will play their senior season at Lone Peak. They'll reunite with former high school teammate Aisa Galea'i, who will play at Orem this season, at Utah.
