INDIANAPOLIS — Stevie Mitchell scored 10 of his career-high 22 points during a key five-minute stretch in the second half as No. 9 Marquette overcame Kam Jones' foul trouble to rally past Butler 78-69. The Golden Eagles won their third straight to stay tied with No. 15 St. John's atop the Big East standings despite losing Jones, their best player, for nearly 10 minutes after he drew his fourth foul. Jahmyl Telfort scored 24 points to lead Butler (9-12, 2-8). Patrick McCaffery added 12 points as the Bulldogs lost for the 10th time in 12 games.
