MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin is looking into a former women's basketball player's allegations that she was mistreated by coach Marisa Moseley and her staff. Ball State center Tessa Towers, who played for Wisconsin from 2022-24, alleged in a TikTok post over the weekend that her freshman year was "completely ruined." Towers wrote in photo captions that she "felt like a lab rat" because she was given "new medications every other week" and that she was given a choice between entering a mental hospital or being kicked off the team. The Wisconsin athletic department says in a statement that it can't respond to Towers' mental health-related claims because of privacy laws.
