INDIANAPOLIS — Over 11 seasons in Happy Valley, coach James Franklin has taken the once-troubled Penn State football program and built it into a respectable competitor. The Big Ten title game against Oregon is his chance to take the next big step. Franklin goes for his 100th win with the Nittany Lions on Saturday, but his detractors point to the 3-18 record against Top 10 teams and a 1-10 mark against Ohio State as proof he has not taken this program back to glory. If Penn State wins, it will mark only the second league title for Franklin since he arrived in 2014.
