HOUSTON — C.J. Stroud faced criticism in the last few games as the Houston Texans hit a rough patch after losing just two of their first eight games. But the second-year quarterback remained confident and his strong performance Sunday helped the Texans to a 23-20 win over the Jaguars to enter their bye with a two-game lead atop the AFC South standings. Coach DeMeco Ryans said he loves where Stroud is at and is excited to see how he comes back after the team's break.
