Creighton center Ryan Kalkbrenner is The Associated Press men's college basketball player of the week. That comes after the 7-foot-1 fifth-year senior put up 49 points against UT-Rio Grande Valley. He finished two points shy of tying the Bluejays' single-game scoring record set in 1967. Kalkbrenner followed that with 24 points against Fairleigh Dickinson.
