STORRS, Conn. — UConn star Paige Bueckers is entering her final season with the second-ranked Huskies in pursuit of an elusive national championship. UConn hasn't won a title since 2016, though it was the national runner-up in 2022. That's a long time for a program with 11 championships. Bueckers has been standout since her freshman year and fought through injuries that cost her one full season and part of another. The season opener is Nov. 7 against Boston University.
