It isn't Boise... but the Las Vegas Bowl has seemingly borrowed its weather from the Humanitarian Bowl this week. No one expects Vegas temperatures in the 80s in late December, but bowl officials also don't plan on needing snow scrapers in the courtesy cars.

I leave for Las Vegas this morning (weather permitting), at about the same time players from both teams will be at Sunrise Children's Hospital for a visit. The visit will be followed by the teams' final full pre-bowl practices. BYU is scheduled to go from 11:00am to noon out at Bishop Gorman, while the Wildcats will work out from 11:15am-1:15pm at the UNLV Practice Field.

The teams respective travel parties have family activities planned for the afternoon, then tonight, the players will report for competitive eating duty at the Outback Buffet Bowl.

Tomorrow, the Cougars' and Wildcats' bowl prep will culminate with closed walk-throughs, sandwiched around a press conference and luncheon.

Friday night from 6:00-7:00pm, fans from both schools will congregate to hear BYU and Arizona coaches and players speak at the Fremont Street Pep Rally.
