MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was forced out of the game in the third quarter of the 23-17 victory over San Francisco with a bruised right quadriceps. The injury left him with significant soreness but guarded optimism about playing next week. Jefferson was blocking on the play late in the third quarter when he collided with teammate Garrett Bradbury and took contact from 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. Jefferson was in pain on the turf before limping off the field with assistance. Jefferson caught a 97-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.
