PARIS — A new group of Americans is trying to carry on the country's winning tradition in Olympic beach volleyball. Seven of the eight Americans competing on the sand in Paris are making their Olympic debuts in 2024. They hope the turnover will restore the United States to its historic position as the Summer Games' most dominant beach volleyball nation. The U.S. has won seven of the 14 beach volleyball gold medals since the sport was added to the Olympics in 1996 and more medals of any sort than any country other than Brazil.
