PARIS — Chase Budinger used his NBA experience to prepare for his Olympic beach volleyball debut. The former Arizona and professional basketball player and his partner, Miles Evans, beat host France in straight sets on Monday to coast through their opening match of the Paris beach volleyball tournament. Budinger said nerves got to him back in 2009 when he airballed a shot and turned the ball over twice when he made his debut for the Houston Rockets. This time the jitters didn't get to him. Budinger and Evans won in straight sets in a match that took only 32 minutes.
