GENEVA — Swimming's governing body says Chinese athletes going to the Paris Olympics are undergoing increased drug testing of at least eight times this year before the Games open next week. The Chinese swim team in Paris is set to have 11 athletes who tested positive for a banned heart medication in 2021 yet avoided being suspended before the Tokyo Olympics. A Chinese state-backed investigation in June 2021 blamed mass contamination by food in a hotel kitchen. World Aquatics has now followed the World Anti-Doping Agency in publishing reports they commissioned that exonerated them of mishandling the case three years ago.
