Tom Mackintosh spent five months sitting behind a desk in the corporate world and couldn't take it anymore. The Olympic gold medalist decided it was time to switch seats and try to win another rowing medal at the Paris Games. Mackintosh won the Olympic gold medal with New Zealand's men's eight in Tokyo and then decided to take time off from the sport to work at an investment firm in Auckland. He quickly realized his body wasn't built for a desk just yet.
