SCOTLAND — I love hearing my niece "rawr" like a lion, but it sounds nothing like the lions I've heard at the zoo. This Scottish girl has her lion's roar perfected so well that it made me question if it was just audio of a lion being played in the background.

Videos of 5-year-old Riley Scott roaring like a lion have gone viral in the last week.

When her mom tells her people online liked her lion noise and wondered if it was real, she responded: "It is super real, and a real lion sound," before roaring again.

She explained that she practiced when she was little until she became a self-proclaimed "expert."

Riley says to make the noise you just get some air and roar. She told viewers they needed to practice.

Her mom, Amy Scott, said in an interview with STV News in Edinburgh, Scotland that her daughter has been roaring since she became obsessed with "The Lion King" a few years ago. She didn't realize how unique it was until she shared a video of the roar on TikTok and it received millions of views.

"I think because I've heard this every single day, I never thought it was as good as what everyone is thinking it is," she said in the interview.

She said since the video spread, they heard themselves on the radio and a song created with Riley's roar.
