DETROIT — Purdue's Zach Edey has led his team to within one win of its first Final Four since 1980. He is the nation's leading scorer and second-leading rebounder. And yet, there's a sense that whenever his run through college hoops comes to an end — whether Sunday in the regional finals against Tennessee or next week at the Final Four — his future in the game might be limited. Basketball has become a "positionless" sport dictated by analytics — where a higher volume of lower percentage 3-pointers hold more value than easy 2s. One big question is whether an NBA team is willing to buck that trend and take a chance on a player who was voted a unanimous AP All-American this season.
