MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Lynx will retire the jersey of four-time WNBA champion Maya Moore during the upcoming season. Moore cut her playing career short to help with her now-husband's release from a wrongful imprisonment. The ceremony will take place Aug. 24 prior to a game against the Indiana Fever. Moore will be the fifth player in Lynx history to have her jersey hung from the Target Center rafters. Moore married Jonathan Irons in 2020 shortly after he was released from prison. He had served 22 years after a wrongful conviction in Missouri. She last played in 2018.
