"In all the years I covered the White House, during Carter and Reagan and Clinton, I never had the urge to throw a shoe, and if I had, I imagine the secret service would have been all over me," Sam Donaldson joked on Utah's Morning News. He also talked about the possibility that Caroline Kennedy may take the Senate seat vacated by Hillary Clinton. Sam says she's not qualified in the traditional way, but she will likely get the nod anyway. Click here to hear Sam this morning, and more on what he's getting his wife for Christmas.
How are Iraqis reacting to the shoe throwing incident? ABC's Vladimir Losinski reported on KSL this morning from Baghdad. He says the protests have died down somewhat, but that most Iraqis feel that what Muntadhar al-Zeidi did is something they all secretly would love to do. He also said that the insult was one against George Bush specifically and not against all Americans. Vlad says Iraqis as a people really like Americans. Click here to hear the full interview.
