PARK CITY — After months of anticipation, Top Trumps USA — the top global licensee for Hasbro — announced Thursday it has released the Park City Edition of the iconic board game, Monopoly.
The newest rendition of the game showcasing the Utah mountain town will replace the board game's famous Atlantic City squares, highlighting landmarks, historical places and businesses in Park City.
When it was announced in May that Park City would be the location for the next edition of Monopoly, Park City locals got the chance to chime in and express what they wanted to see occupy the 22 property squares on the Monopoly game board.

"When I start seeing the same places over and over, I start paying really close attention," Aaron Green, a sales representative with Top Trumps USA, said when the Park City Edition was announced. "Why are people talking about this business or this restaurant or this mountain peak this much? And then I go have talks with the owners or the managers of those properties and we talk about being on the board."
Locations taking up property-square ownership include Utah Olympic Park, Guardsman Pass, Kimball Art Center, the No Name Saloon, Kimball Junction, Town Lift and many more iconic locations.

"We're thrilled to launch Monopoly: Park City Edition and celebrate everything this beloved mountain town has to offer, from its world-renowned recreational and natural gems to its artistic culture and its historic and charming downtown landmarks," Green said. "We've spent months creating a portrayal of the area and incorporated important feedback from locals to truly make this a fun and engaging game for Park City residents and visitors."
Monopoly: Park City Edition is available for $39.99 at Amazon, CVS, Top Trumps USA's website and several local retailers.
"Not only do you (Park City) get millions of tourists every year, but you have 10,000 locals who are proud to be from here. And there's great establishments, there's places that have been around almost a hundred years and maybe longer. We know people will get excited about it when they see places that they recognize and it means something to them," Green said.
