SALT LAKE CITY — 'Tis the season for getting together with family, friends and coworkers.

You're bound to, at some point, find yourself in the middle of the great debate. No, not politics or a sports-related controversy. Rather, the seasonal question that has divided families since 1988 and lights up a room just like Nakatomi Plaza: Is "Die Hard" a Christmas movie?

CNN recently took time out from covering political news and welcomed a film historian to the party.

Their consensus? Yes, the 35-year-old movie staring Bruce Willis is a Christmas movie.

There you have it. Debate settled (or is it?).

Yiippee-ki-yay.
