BERKELEY, Calif. — Savannah Rennie endured difficult times when she arrived at college as a freshman preparing to play volleyball for the University of California, a series of health scares derailing everything she had planned to do on the court and off it. After a liver transplant and treatment for lymphoma, Rennie's life has come full circle to bring her back to the Bay Area nearly nine years later. Now, she's an assistant volleyball coach for the Golden Bears and is eager to help support any young women going through their own challenges.
