HELPER — Two people are dead and two hospitalized due to what Carbon County sheriff's deputies are calling possible carbon monoxide poisoning.
The sheriff's office confirmed Wednesday all four victims are related. But other information, such as the names and sexes of the victims, has not been released.
Emergency crews were dispatched to a remote area of northwest Carbon County on Saturday at 9 p.m. for a possible carbon monoxide poisoning incident. Four people were found at the location.
Two people, ages 23 and 33, did not survive, the sheriff's office said. Two others, age 13 and 58, were transported via medical helicopter to hospitals for "specialized treatment."
Updated conditions on the teen and 58-year-old were not available Wednesday. Details about what caused the potential poisoning were also not immediately available.
