THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The Los Angeles Rams have released kicker Brett Maher two days after he missed two field-goal attempts and an extra point in a seven-point loss to Pittsburgh. The Rams signed Lucas Havrisik off Cleveland's practice squad Tuesday to replace Maher, who joined the team after training camp Aug. 30. The 33-year-old Maher missed a 53-yard field-goal attempt and a 51-yarder along with an extra point in the Rams' 24-17 loss to the Steelers. Maher went 17 of 23 on field-goal attempts for the Rams, although all of his misses were from 46 yards or longer.
