The history of Lagoon goes back to the 1800s—yes, the 19th century. According to their website, Lagoon opened on July 15, 1886. Back then, however, it was called Lake Park.
Through the years, the rides became bigger, better, and more thrilling. Some classics still remain, though. The carousel ride was installed in 1906 and still runs today. Now, 137 years after its opening, Lagoon boasts more than 50 rides in its park.
