SALT LAKE CITY — When meteorologists make a five-day forecast, it's usually reliable. One Utah meteorologist recently made a forecast six months in advance. And it was the best kind of prediction.
Allison Croghan was in the middle of a typical forecast when she took an opportunity to shock and surprise her co-workers and the viewing public on live TV.
Croghan was part of the morning crew at the local TV station for eight years, providing coverage of traffic and weather before she moved to afternoon and evening broadcasts.
The anchors had no idea the announcement was coming, so their reactions are genuine and sweet.
And, maybe, the second-best part: The weather stole the thunder from the sports report.
