LEXINGTON, Ky. — Northern Kentucky is back in the NCAA Tournament, three years after its trip was called off along with the event because of the COVID-19 pandemic. NKU won its fourth Horizon League championship since 2016-17 but will make its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2019. Howard's last NCAA Tournament appearance in 1992 was a 100-67 loss to Midwest top seed Kansas. The Bison are back in the tourney and their opponent once again is the top-seeded Jayhawks, this time in a West Region first-round game.
