EAGAN, Minn. — Brian Flores interviewed for at least four jobs this offseason including one for head coach. His two sons were adamant that defensive coordinator in Minnesota was the best fit. They're big fans of Vikings star Justin Jefferson. Flores was hired by the Vikings earlier this month to fix a unit that ranked among the league's worst in 2022. Arizona had interest in Flores for head coach. Two other teams talked to him about defensive coordinator openings. Flores spent three seasons as Miami's head coach. He filed a racial bias lawsuit after being fired last year.
