LAS VEGAS — Karen Weitz and Ashley Fouch are coaching the boys and girls basketball programs at their respective high schools. A coach overseeing both programs is rare. A female coaching handling those responsibilities is even rarer. Weitz helms a Nevada girls power in Las Vegas that has won the past seven state championships. She also became the boys coach this season. Fouch is in her second season coaching the boys team in Daleville, Indiana. She became the girls coach three weeks before the season.
