MONTREAL — Sandro Grande has been fired as the coach of Montreal's under-23 team after tweets from 2012 became public about an election-night shooting outside of a Parti Québécois gathering that leader Pauline Marois attended. He posted on Twitter nearly 11 years ago that the shooting made a "mistake" in missing "Marois," adding, "next time buddy! Hopefully!" Team president Gabriel Gervais says that the team was aware of the comments when they hired him on Monday and believed Grande had matured.
