AL KHOR, Qatar — Aliou Cisse was captain when Senegal beat the defending World Cup champions and went all the way to the quarterfinals 20 years ago. That matched Africa's best run in its first appearance at the tournament. Cisse is finding the World Cup much tougher as Senegal's coach. The team lost to England 3-0 in a surprisingly lopsided result and was knocked out of the World Cup in the last 16. Cisse says "we just weren't as good as we should have been." Cisse was also coach when Senegal was eliminated in the group stage in Russia four years ago.
