ST. GEORGE — A Millard County man was arrested and charged with felony enticement of a minor after the suspect called emergency dispatch reporting the crime, and once he was identified as the spouse of a sheriff's office employee – the investigation was turned over to the Beaver County Sheriff's Office.
The incident was initially reported in late October when investigators in Millard County received a report that a suspect, later identified as Abel Scott Christiansen, was enticing a juvenile to send nude photos through a social media application.
According to charging documents filed with the courts, on Oct. 23, the suspect reportedly called Millard County emergency dispatch shortly after 11 p.m. and asked if he should turn himself in, and according to investigators, he then went on to explain he had solicited, via social media, nude photographs from a teen.
The report also states that Christiansen told emergency dispatch he had solicited a sexual video from the teen as well and said he was coming down from a dose of medication when he realized what he had done. It was shortly thereafter that he learned the teen had taken screenshots of the messages and then blocked him from the social media site.
