LINDON — It's amazing how much joy can come from an adult spending just a little time indulging kids and joining in on their fun.
A group of Lindon neighbors set up a slip-and-slide a few weeks ago and the day got better when "Sir Amazon Ricky" dropped by.
The Amazon employee was probably in the neighborhood to deliver a package to one of their homes, but he ended up delivering a lot of excitement, as well.
Angie Evans posted the video and said on Facebook, "I love Amazon on so many levels, it's like Christmas every time they show up ... but today, I love them for an entirely new reason."
At the start of the video, a row of kids are chanting, "Amazon!" This delivery man leans into it, prompting them to shout even louder.
He gives high-fives and says, "Let's go!" He waits for the thumbs-up showing the slip-and-slide is ready, and then jumps on and glides almost to the end of the slide before walking back triumphantly to cheers from the children.
Watching this video will give you just a hint of the joy these kids were experiencing that day.
I'm unsure what my response would be if a group of children were shouting "KSL!" trying to get a local reporter to go down a slip-and-slide, but I hope I would act just like this Amazon employee and indulge them, but also make my job a little more fun.
