ST. GEORGE — A southern Utah man accused of being serial burglar around the St. George area for nearly a year now faces 41 criminal charges.

Aaron Dennis Foote, 44, of St. George, was charged Thursday in 5th District Court with engaging in a pattern of unlawful activity, a second-degree felony, in addition to numerous other crimes.

According to a police booking affidavit, Foote "was directly involved in 15 separate criminal episodes spanning April 2021 through February 2022." When he was arrested on Wednesday, 15 separate affidavits were filed in connection with his booking into jail in Washington County.

The majority of burglaries occurred in homes under construction and involved the taking of new appliances or construction materials, the affidavits state.

By comparing tire prints, shoe prints and collecting GPS data, detectives were able to link Foote to the burglaries, according to the affidavits.

Foote was also charged Thursday with 12 counts of theft, a second-degree felony; 19 counts of burglary, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, theft, and four counts of criminal mischief, all third-degree felonies; unlawful possession of dangerous weapon, a class A misdemeanor; and criminal mischief and theft, both class B misdemeanors.
