SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah man died after crashing his motorcycle into a cow in Nevada on Sunday, authorities said.

The crash took place just after 8 p.m. Sunday on Nevada Route 375 about 20 miles west of Crystal Springs in Lincoln County, according to a news release from the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The rider was eastbound when he hit a cow in the road and was ejected from the motorcycle, according to the release. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The rider was identified as Brent Christopher Sorensen, 37, of St. George, the highway patrol said.
