THE ALTAR — In our era of divisive and disheartening headlines, it's hard to read the news or jump on social media without being left feeling melancholy. But amidst this ocean of bad vibes, you'll occasionally find a story that rebalances the world for a moment and restores our belief in the kindness of others.

Such is the story of Morgan Watkins' wedding day.

@morganmwatkins

My twin sister who has special needs came down at my wedding with my fiancé, now who I call my husband. I wanted her to have her special moment as a bride like her twin sister. I will forever cherish this! Look at how her just looking around at everyone like she's on her throne 😭😍 this is why I fell in love with him bc he loves her as much as I do. #weddingtiktok#love#twins#marryme#lovestory#youarethereason#tiktok

Why is the groom carrying a young lady in a white dress down the aisle? Because both he and his bride are good people with caring hearts, and they wanted to make the day extra memorable for someone they love.

"My twin sister who has special needs came down at my wedding with my fiance, now who I call my husband," explains Watkins in the video's caption. "I wanted her to have her special moment as a bride like her twin sister. I will forever cherish this! Look at her just looking around at everyone like she's on her throne. This is why I fell in love with him bc he loves her as much as I do."

I've watched this video several times and am always touched by the relationship the groom and his wife's sister share. He takes such care as he brings her down the stairs, and her hands rest on his arm in a way that shows how much she trusts him.

Yes, this world can be a messy and scary place, but there's still a lot of beauty to be found.
