CEDAR CITY — Police on Friday identified two men who were found dead in a Cedar City residence on Wednesday.
Cedar City Police Department identified the victims as Lucas Hughes, 18, and Ethan Rapoza, 18, the agency said in a news release. An autopsy done by the Utah Medical Examiner's Office revealed the manner of death to be stabbing, according to the release.
The bodies were discovered at 1790 W. Harding Avenue on Wednesday after police received a call around 4:30 p.m. stating that there appeared to be a body in the residence. Officers responded and contacted homicide investigators after securing the scene, according to police.
"After carefully evaluating all the current evidence, we do not believe there exists any public safety threat or outstanding suspects," said Cedar City Police Sgt. Clint Pollock in a statement.
Further information was not released. The investigation is still active and ongoing, Pollock said.
