When that Go Go's "Vacation" song keeps running through your head, "Vacation, all I ever wanted, Vacation, had to get away," you know you need a break from the stresses of day-to-day life. But it's winter 2021, and although some had high hopes for the "all clear" to take off on adventures with their spouse or family, health experts are holding up the caution sign when it comes to air travel, cruises and prolonged trips during the continued COVID-19 pandemic. So what's a person to do?

A spontaneous staycation might be just the ticket for providing a much needed mental and physical break. If you have a weekend or a few days off and don't want to spend hours driving to your destination, consider staying close and taking a fun break at a local destination such as Station Park, the popular shopping, dining, and entertainment hub in Farmington.

A staycation in Farmington? Absolutely! The growing community in Davis County is central to ski resorts along the Wasatch Front, Lagoon Amusement Park, Antelope Island State Park, and the George S. and the Dolores Doré Eccles Wildlife Education Center at Farmington Bay, among others.
