THE BARNYARD — There are snow lovers and snow haters, and rarely does there seem to be anyone in between (or maybe the haters and lovers are just the loudest?).
But humans aren't the only ones to have feelings about snow.
Of course, there are animals that need snow for their survival, and animals that have evolved to survive in the snow. Plus, there are plenty of videos and memes of cats that are upset by the arrival of snow, and dogs that find absolute joy when snow arrives (and visa versa).
What you don't see a lot of is videos of barnyard animals particularly enjoying or hating the snow.
That changes right now.
In this short video, a cow proves that its love of snow is equal to a little kid's love of snow. The clip is simply 22 seconds of a cow twisting and turning its tongue in order to catch snowflakes.
The more you watch it, the more fascinating it becomes as its tongue reaches and flips and flops in the falling snow. However, it's so cartoon-like, you can't help but, at the very least, having a sensible chuckle over the clip if not an outright laugh.
This winter season is sure to bring more snow in Utah, and if you're not a snow lover, I encourage you to channel your inner cow and find one little thing that brings the joy of snow into your heart.
You know, like catching a few snowflakes on your tongue.
