BROOKLYN — Voting can make you a superhero, but can you imagine being given cookies and a shoutout from an actual superhero while standing in line to cast your ballot?

Paul Rudd, of "Ant-Man," "Parks and Recreation," "Clueless" and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" fame made that wish a reality when he surprised voters who braved the rain in Brooklyn in order to vote by giving out cookies.

As New Yorker, Brian Rosenworcel tweeted a video showing Rudd handing out cookies to voters along with the words: "I'm voting in Brooklyn and Paul Rudd is handing out cookies."

In the 16-second clip, you can hear Rudd warmly say, "I wanna say thank you for coming out and voting and doing your part" as voters thank him and fall back into their socially distanced line.

Rosenworcel follows up with a selfie confirming that the cookies are individually packaged and blueberry and cream flavored. Frankly, they look positively delightful. One top reblog of the post says, "I wish I would've voted in Brooklyn."

While not all of us get the amazing experience of free cookies and celebrity encounters while voting, Rudd's sentiments about each of us doing our part ring true. So fill out your mail-in ballot in Utah in the comfort of your own home, away from the cold, drop it off at the ballot box, and treat yourself to a cookie (or some leftover Halloween candy), because you're a hero.

You can also show up at a polling station on Nov. 3 to vote in person, but you should still definitely buy yourself a cookie.

You know what? I'm gonna go eat a cookie.
