Everyone has that friend who craves the summer sun and dreads the snowy, winter days. On the flip side, most people know someone who would rather curl up inside and watch the snow fall than spend time outdoors in the heat.
For many people, enjoying the opposite of your favorite weather seems preposterous. The idea of being locked up inside all winter can make some people's skin crawl. Other people might be exhausted at the idea of going for a walk in the summer heat.
Madeline Diamond writing for Insider says, "Winter . . . is totally underrated. From skiing and snowboarding in the mountains to curling up by the fire and enjoying some hot chocolate, winter is the perfect time to get cozy and enjoy the beauty of the season."
Opposite that sentiment, a Gallup poll found summer is by far the most popular season of the year among 19-29-year-olds. Perhaps that's because younger people are more likely to have a break from classes and responsibility in the summer months.
